I’m just home from the Craft & Gift Wholesale Show hosted by the Craft Council of NL for makers of crafts and gifts to pitch their product to retail shop owners. The venue was beautiful, the food was lovely, the vendors were extraordinary, and the people were the best. Well done, everybody! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
I was there for two purposes: to take orders for my own Norton’s Cove Cards, Mini-Prints, and Bookmarks lineup of products which are available in shops around eastern Canada, and also to place orders for my new Norton’s Cove Café Gift-shop which will be well stocked with all sorts of food-related product. Fruit spreads, cook books, chocolates, wine bottle stoppers, and more, all made right here in my home province. Something else to look forward to in May!
We had a very slow snowy drive home last night, with snow covered roads the entire 381kms! What usually takes 4 hours, took 6.5 hours! So this morning was taken easy, sipping coffee and resting up to get to work making all the new work that was ordered, and getting unpacked and tidied away at the studio.
I hope you’ll drop in over the next few weeks to see how the products are made by hand right here at Norton’s Cove.
