Norton’s Cove Café is OPEN!

The long wait is over! You and I can finally have a seat at Norton’s Cove Café to sip coffee at leisure, and fill our tummies with the gorgeous things that Chef Ted, Amanda, and Pastry Chef Chrys create just for us.

Of course, with the COVID-19 pandemic still happening around the world, there are some restrictions for us to follow:

  • Please call the café before entering. This way, we can avoid clusters of people at the entrance. There is a new handy-dandy sign on the front bridge with the number so you don’t need to look it up. Your server will ask how many are in your party, and prepare a table for you before you make your way to the door.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in the vestibule. Please use this when you enter, and again as you exit.
  • We are asked to dispose of any paper menu that has been used just once. We don’t like to be wasteful, so we’ll be asking you to share a single menu, or to use a digital menu: we have a QR code attached to the menu additions chalkboard in the vestibule that you can zap with your mobile device for access to our full menus.
  • you will have to refrain from hugging anyone outside your bubble- I know this will be a hardship for some of you, but you can do it! And so can I. Or in other words, please practice physical distancing from those who are not in your bubble.
  • If you have recently arrived in Newfoundland and are in quarantine, please phone in your order- we’d gladly make a contact-less delivery to anyone in the New-Wes-Valley area. I can send you an invoice that you can pay via nortonscove.com
  • Yes, almost everything on the menu is available for take-out. Just call in your order!
  • And lastly, if you feel any symptoms of illness that might possibly be linked to the Corona-virus, please stay home and contact a medical professional.

There are a few new items on the menu, like Chef Ted’s Spicy Shrimp Skewers, and Roast Duck in a cherry port sauce. There are new faces too, as our wait staff learn the tricks of the trade from the old hands. Brunch will be served on Saturday & Sunday this year, instead of just Sunday! And there’s the Café Gift-shop! New hours too:
