Happy Christmas!

This year marks a different Christmas here at home with lots of family members & friends missing from our usual festivities.  But we’re all healthy, safe, and happy.  And I’m very happy that none of us are alone.  Because really, love is all we need, right?

Christmas Parade

Who knew that being a part of a Christmas Parade could be so much fun? Waving at people for a couple of hours and yelling “merry Christmas” out the window of the FJ Cruiser made us feel so ridiculously happy!

Fred’s vehicle, a Toyota FJ Cruiser, with our Christmas tree on top and the back tire made into a Christmas wreath. This is Norton’s Cove’s 1st ever Christmas Parade float, and I hope there will be many more to come! Of course, you’ll notice that this design is in keeping with Norton’s Cove Studio’s 2021 Christmas Cruiser card.

Christmas Shopping

Good morning! Just a couple of days left for shopping- I can hardly believe the date!

I’ll be in the studio getting some things ready for Christmas (around 11am-6pm NT) and would love to hear from you!

Lots of items available in store and online!

I’ll be filling online orders, taking telephone and email orders, and greeting in-person shoppers.

Oh Christmas Tree!

On Friday night, with school work done an the Captain home from the sea, we had our Christmas Tree Party at home.

I’m not much of a cook, and I’m pretty contrary when spoken to while cooking, but I have to say that I was really pleased with my work this time! Guinness stew on mashed potatoes with a side of broccoli…

After supper came time to decorate the tree. Our tree decorations are a mixture of old, new, and hand-made. And the tinsel is the finishing glimmer.

Later, Fred asked a round of Christmas Trivia questions, and then we put together a set of gingerbread houses…

This is one of my favourite Christmas events of the year! What do you do with your family that feels special each year?
